Ok, I am back with milsurp questions. I am cleaning out projects and guns that I have no ammo for or have never shot or have no interest in. I have three that I know little to nothing about. I bought these several years ago in a small collection that I had to buy everything to get what I wanted from the pile. Input on if my ideas are wrong, opinion as to worth, opinions as to what to do with them is WELCOME (I am a cop so I have no feelings to hurt).
1. Vetterli-Vitali made by W. Von Steiger, 1869/71 in .41 Swiss (10.4x38). My opinions, this gun is a 1869/71 that was cut down, either by the military or Bubba. If it was cut down to be a repeating carbine it is missing the front band that has the front sight on it. The crown is VERY nice it is not just whacked off. It is a true rounded crown as if factory done. I thought the "checkering" was Bubba but looking at the 'net most of the Steiger guns are checkered. The serial number is 25466 so it a fairly early gun.
2. Terni Model 91, 1933XI, 6.5x52 Carcano. I think it was cut and I know the rear sight has been "broken". I have never attempted to shoot the gun as it just does not interest me in the least. Opinions????
3. Terni Model 38 Short Rifle, 7.35x51, 1939 XVIII, SA (Finn) marked. Someone in it's life added a recoil pad and the stock has been patched as can be seen in the pictures. Opinions of price and what to do with it???????
The Mosin is a General Electric-Westinghouse 1915, Finn capture (SA marked). May sell it also as I have another in better condition. Has the fingerjointed stock but I think it was refinished at some stage of life.
