I train with LCS instruction down in Sandersville. I drive 147 miles one way to go train with these guys. Good group of guys. The training is lead by a former CCT tier one guys and a few other guys who have specialty training.
They let me camp out there. Always good to test your gear. Last 4-5 times I went out there I had ZERO issues with gear and vehicle.
I tested all my gear last weekend. I survived a thunderstorm, had minimal water get in my tent, but I didn’t pack any cold weather gear and my other gear I usually pack( big whoops on my part) Started a fire at 0330 because I couldn’t sleep and by the time training started I was TIRED but pushed through.
Did some run and shoot drills/timed and went over basic and advanced weapon break down and cleaning/maintenance.
found issues with my SP5 I’ll have addressed before next training day. Zeroed my black hawk down build ad tested my thermals🤘
Towards the end of the day everyone left, my vehicle battery died. No big deal right I had a jump box that was rated to jump my 3.0 diesel. Turns out it won’t. Luckily one of the guys who helps with the range drove back to give me a jump. Last weekend absolutely sucked, but lesson learned here was test your gear. I replaced my jump box with a known good jumper box, fixing the sp5 and got a smaller tent for keeping warm. Overall it was good training, next event I’ll be in much better shape.
