Reasons for taking Social Security at 62.

The post was "Reasons for taking Social Security at 62" so my comment pertained to reasons not to take it at 62. Obviously you want to take it at full retirement age when earnings limits do not apply.

And I was giving a reason not to take it at 62 as well...a lot of people don't know you can work at full retirement age and draw SS without penalty...

I reco everyone take SS at 70. That way, if you pass before 70 or soon thereafter, you will leave all your money for us young bucks that will likely not see a penny from a broke SS system that the boomer and Gen X ruined.
its always been a ponzi scheme

Gimme my money Uncle Sugar!

Hey boss, bye Felicia.

After your 66.5 you can earn unlimited without plentily. You do need to figure out how much your MediCare premiums will be. Medi Care premium is based on income.

That’s what my dad did only because he’s in good health and owns his own business.

My mom went ahead and took SS at 65 shortly after she retired from the school system of 35 years

Yep, I helped ruin it by paying in the maximum every year for 40 years working.
