Is this an article/post from 2008? I don't understand how it's just now taking effect.
I noticed the date on the post is why I ask.

No, those things took effect years ago. But two developments happened:

December 2014 - Judith McKenna promoted to COO
May 2015 - Suarez promoted and reports to McKenna

McKenna is also British. She comes from ASDA, which Wal-Mart owns and is a major British supermarket chain, kind of like our Kroger or Publix.

COO comes from a country that hates guns, her assistant is buddy buddy with Bloomberg, both have a lot of sway in Wal-Mart superstore operations. And with AR-15's not moving well, perfect opportunity to get their agenda through without making it look political.

I originally thought this was 100% financial, but reading about it, there's some flame to the fire about this being a political decision.

It can't be, Walmarts no longer carry AR's or any resembling gun (think ar styled 22's) or accessories.

That's why a few months ago a $1,000 Colt Le6920 was $599.

Update. The rebate was recieved in the mail yesterday and the window is still open till the end of the year if you haven't submitted yet. And no, this wasn't photoshpped.
