Recommend a good OTF knife

Microtech springs are never under long term tension..?
Do you even Microtech?

Microtech dual action are not under tension, until you are pressing the button and sliding it... That sliding of it, is what stretches the springs and builds the pressure, and once it moves enough, the lock bar moves out of the way and that stretched spring then propels the blade.

When it is sitting in your pocket, no, the spring and blade are not under pressure.

taken them apart and I know exactly how they work.

Single action OTF's are. You pull the mechanism and charge the spring and it is sitting there under tension, held back by the firing button.

Pretty much ever dual action OTF operates like this... Springs are basically in a state of rest, no real tension on them... Sliding the actuator stretches the springs, and that provides the energy to propel the blade. But when it is just sitting in your pocket, there is really no way for it to "go off" accidentally...
