Recreational Pot; has your view changed?

Do you think marijuana should be decriminalized and taxed as a commodity?

 This is why these discussions never wind up very productive. So pot heads never die of cancer?
Why would you spin this statement to making your point? It has been proven medically that derivatives of marijuana have indeed helped to eradicate certain cancers an seizures in children.

Sure they do. They are smoking it. Thats usually only good for nausea, pain, glaucoma.
For cancer you have to properly extract the oils (which are converted) and eat (cook with the oil) or dab on skin cancers.

Of course I was speaking in generalities (about propensity to commit other crimes and of course there are plenty of exceptions). However, every person I personally know from school that went on to have a serious drug addiction issue (and in some cases wound up dead because of it) started off with pot. Several were absolutely friends. So much so, that as a matter of fact, many thought I was a 'head' because of many of my friends (I've never in my life taken an illegal substance).
That however does not affect my opinion about what is, and isn't in the purview of the Federal government.

started off with pot. So they smoked pot before drinking alcohol and tobacco?

(I've never in my life taken an illegal substance). So you were of legal age before you consumed any Alcohol or tobacco products?
I wasn't. I had a beer by the time I was 10, and was smoking cigs. at 6 or 7. Pot came about 16.
I never had a desire to do anything stronger, well except some single malt scotch.

Alcohol is the gateway drug. Most start before they are of legal age of 21.

The thread is about RECREATIONAL pot use. I fully support medicinal use.
Another reason these threads aren't useful, people read what they want.

It was legal to drink at 18 when I grew up. I did consume alcohol prior to my 18th birthday. I guess if that's how you want to take the point I was making about illegal substances, I'll stand corrected. I was a pretty heavy drinker in my 20's and early into my 30's. Oddly, I never "gate wayed" into anything else.

Autism! :censored: sucks, right!
I have seen what CBN oils do for Autism for close friends and its amazing.
But wait, Autism = more money.
Autism is something NO child or parent should have to go through. Its has been directly related to vaccines and one in particular, the MMR 3 in 1. Im all for the oils.

I stand corrected, I did not read from the beginning..But yes I do think it needs to be legal and taxed. To many positive uses for it..And as someone stated, what you do behind closed doors that does not effect others, should be allowed.
