Registering a hmmwv with off road title

I am buying a hmmwv with a off road title from another state. I have get a regular title to drive on street.

I see where people have dine it. Has anyone here done that yet.
Any info will be greatly appreciated.

I could be wrong, but if it has an offroad title, it's going to be damn near impossible to register it here in GA. It's the same way with dirt bikes. I've heard of people going through other states to get a title and then registering it in GA once they have a street legal title from another state, but I don't know of anyone personally who's done it.

In my humble opinion, unless you can't live without that particular one, I'd pass.

There is a way to change the title for street use. Talked to people on steel soldiers and found a few companies that offer services to have the title changed.

Similar to a motorcycle.

Franklin County just asked if it had stop lights, blinkers, and a horn.

Had my new title in 5 days or so.

Might be a bit more difficult in a metro county.

Do a title bond for a lost title even though you have one it's only like 150 bucks and then have it signed off by police to make sure it's not stolen and then get a tag for it

How old is it? If it's old enough , just get a bill of sale to register, no title needed

Hmmwv do not have vin numbers just a data plate with a 6 digit serial number on the B pillar.
