Remington 870 question.

Good morning all,

I am currently in the process of saving a used 870 I picked up from my LGS. It appears the previous owner had some unique “taste” in regards to aftermarket furniture. Im in the process of finding a replacement stock and forend . My question is about the length of the bolt for standard Remington stocks. I see online there are 2 lengths 8 & 5/16 and a 10 & 1/4. I’m attaching a picture of the stock I intend on purchasing for reference if anyone has said stock and could measure it. It would be greatly appreciated.

Gunparts (Numrich) shows the shorter bolt for wood stocks and the longer for synthetic stocks.

Finally got ahold of Remington, they said it’s the 8” screw for this stock. The 10 is for the earlier style polymer stock. Thanks for the reply
