Hey guys. I just traded into a Remington model 7 in 243. I think it is probably a youth model, or a ladies model. This thing is really hard to find information on. The scope that is on it, I would guess is from either the 70's or 80's. Looks like a walnut stock with a jeweled bolt.
1- Any idea on value??
2- Does anyone know how to date one of these?
I appreciate any help. I've done Google search but I can't find dates on model 7's
All the serial # lists for Remington don't show this one.

Call Remington Customer Service at 1-800-243-9700 and give them the serial#, they can give you the "born on" date of the rifle. And it is definitely a Model Seven, which is Remington's compact bolt rifle variant and will have a shorter barrel and length of pull versus the 700. Value is entirely up to you, but the older versions like yours are much more reliable builds than the newer "Remlin" models......... Nice score!
