Looks like the front latch is damaged , this release the pawl to turn the cylinder in double action, Has no effect on single action pull. If not the front latch my guess would be the cylinder Pawl itself, but pretty sure its the front latch. Refer to an exploded view parts list and you should find it. Good Luck.
