Riley defense or PSA AK74?

One on the left is what I’m going for. With a 14.5 or 16 inch barrel. Then slap a high end LPVO or something on it. Lol

That one was built off of a Polish kit. I don't think that they have any 5.45 kits if I recall, but I know the Polish bring in 5.56 kits pretty often.

Thread needs more pics. I built my bullpup off a PSA 105. Two reasons.
1. It was cheap and I wasn't sure how the project was gonna work out.
2. Didn't want to screw up a nice collectible combloc kit for a goofy project.
It's tons of fun, but is over gassed from PSA. Which is worsen bc your face is on the top cover. I'll eventually fix that one day.View attachment 6019209

Yes sir. But you're better off just buying a semi one from Atlantic or someone like that. Some people like to have the original receiver so I understand that but if you just want a 61 then get a mass produced one.

I picked up Riley Defense AK-47, on Friday. It a nice rifle.

No experience with PSA74
Had an Riley74 Bulgarian ((10)) clone for a minute to check out.
I ended up installing a +15% stronger recoil spring to slow the bolt down from over gasing and no problems running a tin of 7n6, some with a can, some bump firing going on too, no cycling issues
I only checked accuracy to 75 yards, nice and tight as to be expected from a 74.

Looking up parts kits I’m going to have to go the Riley or PSA route. I’m still searching. A real one, quality built seems way cooler, but like what hood said if I just want an AK to AK….

I personally prefer RPK 74 mags especially hard to get ones like ribbed one’s. But my favorite mags are Russian true black especially ones with extra stampings/proof marks. Those are my favorite
