Just saw where Ken Stabler passed away from colon cancer.

Had the pleasure of meeting him at a Bama game, back when him and Eli Gold did the radio broadcast together, and he signed my Stabler Alabama jersey. Couldn't have been a nicer guy.

He was a hell of a QB back in those wild Oakland Raiders days in the 70's.

Rest in peace, Snake.

DAMN!!!!!! I hadn't heard that.
I have always regretted, even more so now, not getting his autograph one night. I had been out fishing off of Dauphin Island and he was in the corner with a younger lady. I didn't go over and bother him and he sat there uninterrupted for over two hours.

I never rooted for them, but loved watching them beat the tar out of other teams.
He was a great player in the day...
