For the first two stages with steel, if you did not neutralize all the targets, you lost all points for that stage.

I would probably struggle a good bit with the heart rate up and the pressure of the whole timing me aspect.

Good job to the winner. I don't think I could of run it any where close to that fast especially with all of the gear.

The shooting is not that complex, it just takes a little mental toughness to switch gears into shooting mode to accomplish the task, then manage your gear and run on. Aside from the 1 shot at 600 yards, everything is very doable by moderately skilled shooter.. it's just everything else going on that makes it a little more difficult than normal.
Also, you don't have to run the course. Take it at a good hiking pace and you'll still have a good time.
