Rolex value destruction

So this is kinda off topic (my apologies to the OP) but I have a modded Seiko 007 watch that belonged to a dear friend I lost over seas. The movement is kinda wonky and doesn't always keep time that well. Any ideas or suggestions on who to take this to to have the movement replaced with something potentially better?

If it's a Seiko it's probably a NH35 movement. Pretty much any watch repair shop locally can service it. As far as upgrading you'd have to talk to whoever was doing the service as to what would fit or is available.

My buddy just picked up this one last week from his jeweler. $325k I tried to load the video but 🤷🏻‍♂️

Still a really great looking watch that are very reasonably priced second hand. Can get the first one on eBay for around $2000 and second one in the $3000 to $4000 range. Not a first watch but more fun later in a collection.

I've always liked Chopard. They tie themselves to racing quite a bit. The rubber straps are famous for the tire tread look. Apparently the tire tread rubber straps have a very specific vanilla smell to help one determine authenticity.

for 325 your buddy got FLEECED. that's the older model 15400, most likely with aftermarket case and bracelet. These go for like 50-60k or less all day long with VS-SI stones.

edit: actually I think maybe you are messing with us. look at the screws on the bezel, they aren't even aligned. is that like a movie prop or something?

I often expose my ignorance on here because I just want to know what something means. So, here we go again. What is AD when used in this Thread ? Thanks.
AD is authorized dealer, i.e. an official reseller of Rolex. since demand is so high for most stainless models, unless you have an extensive history with a dealer, you will probably have to buy secondhand, at a markup, from a "grey market" dealer.
