Anyone know what bit I need to remove a ruger 10/22 TD model muzzle break. I was told a T60 torq bit but this isn't working. This has 6 pronged and the muzzle break has 5 pronged. Needless to say I can't the muzzle break.

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks

I couldn't get mine off either and was about to give up. An odt brother suggested that i put it in the freezer overnight.....it worked! I wrapped that flat end of the barrel in leather, put it in a vise (not too tight), and she broke free pretty easily.

I was able to remove mine without a wrench. It was only hand tight....
Put barrel in vise(Protect barrel) and you can probably use a long flat blade screwdriver
between the prongs. If it is still difficult apply some heat.

I thought there were two flats at the rear of the break. I sold mine but I thought the one I have now had an identical one.

thanks all for the advise. I was trying to take off without use a wrench as I didn't want to bugger it up to much. Good suggestions by everyone. Thank you all.
