Why do they call it a "match" gun?
WHat kind of shooting matches feature big-bore revolvers with medium-length barrels and open sights?
PPC hasn't been a thing for... well... about 30 years now.
But for a hiker's companion gun in bear country, I'd take one.
For a home defense gun for a person who strongly prefers wheelguns and loves to practice with them, sure, it's great for that too.

Hell.....I am in.....crap! 53 oz. for the Super Redhawk 10mm and now they come out with a 37oz. GP100!?!?! Ruger does listen to the people.
When you run out of 10mm, bust out the .40s because they will work as well! No need to change barrels!!!!!

That thing is just sexy as hell. I have some handloads that would be a beast in that thing!
