Ok my father in law has a sks he wants to trick out. He wants me to make it look cool, I've never messed with them what's a cool stock or other things to make it look good? It's a Russian one with a bayonet on it.
Thanks.

Please dont "bubba" a nice Russian. BUT if you must, keep all the original parts. You can find a reciever cover that will take a scope. You must hand fit those in order for them to fit correctly. Try to just get a receiver cover with scope mount and leave the wood!!!

i was in the same boat. i bought a very nice sks for a bullpup conversion and just could not bring myself to cut up such a beautiful rifle. i traded for another one that was dinged up and missing the cleaning rod, bayonet, etc. i am using that one for a http://sgworks.com/ sks bullpup kit. this kit is just sick. i have always wanted a bullpup rifle, but was unwilling to pay the retail price for one. this solves the problem for $250. check it out. it may be just what you are looking for. i plan on cutting and threading the barrel down to 16.1 inches and installing a flash/recoil compensator, modifying the bolt to allow the mag to be inserted while the bolt is closed, installing a spring loaded firing pin, a trigger job and a true glo reflex sighting system. this should give and overall length of 26.5 " on a rifle with a 35 rd mag of 7.62x39. it should be a BLAST to shoot.
