Looks like it is where the coating was worn off, have it recoated
It crazy it’s never really been used lol. Never seen a holster just sits and says hey look how sexy I look 😂
How do you store it? In a gun rug? Safe? Any kind of humidity control?
A modern gun stored in an AC'd environment shouldn't rust even if it's just left out in house.
That being said it looks light surface rust, so you could probably clean it up. Google will be your friend there.

Normally it sits on my gun wall or on a book shelf in the house. I was a little surprised to see it. I’m really confused on how it happened, I don’t have any other guns with this kinda rust on it.
Sometimes Hoppy's number nine will take it off unless it's heavy and deep. I know it knocks the surface rust off blued barrels. I always rub mine down with Hoppy's #9 real good and then rub down with oil every few months or so. The right way would be have it stripped and re-coated but that could be costly and time consuming.
Yeah the chrome coating is what I’m liking but seems pricey, not opposed to doing it though. Looks like a few places do it.
My very first handgun was a CZ 75 SP-01 Tactical. That poor gun saw a lot of rough miles over the years and the finish was beat. I retired it to range-fun only duty and sent it to Cajun for a trigger, threaded barrel, and a Cerakote job.
They did a fantastic job on it and it's my BBQ gun these days.

Keep it cleaned and oiled. It's a tool. Much ado about nothing.
