I thought CZ shadow slides and P10's were stainless steel with nitride finish, which shouldn't rust like that at all. It is kind of odd.
Best way to remove rust like that is with 0000 steel wool. No oil or anything, just bone dry steel wool and keep adjusting the steel wool so you're always using a clean section as rust builds on it.
If that slide is not stainless then after removing the rust you should be able to instant blue it no problem. This is what I use from Brownells. The instructions are simple to follow.
