Scratched my watch crystal!

Scratched the crap out of the crystal on my Citizen Nighthawk! ARGH! Been watching youtube videos and trying toothpaste but if anything, it's getting worse. Hate to have to replace it but it is driving me crazy.

Any suggestions?

Scratches are very difficult to remove from glass. There are some products that are used for restoring old auto glass, but they get mixed reviews. Apparently it's a very difficult thing to do properly.

I had my jeweler put a sapphire crystal in mine. Problem solved. No more scratching ...period.

I polished the scratches out of mine with a dremel tool at low rpm and the red buffing compound.

Flitz polish took ones out of Bulava watch I had. My sea dweller has the sapphire crystal so no worries!

I've read on one site that they run from $75-99.

I think I'll take it to Victoria as Zeake suggested and get a polish estimate.

I really can't believe how easily it scratched. I know I bumped it into a door at work. Hardly even noticed the impact except as a mild annoyance until I saw the watch.

I bought a cheap Casio to wear at work and will never wear a decent one there again. Considering going to the John Wayne style of wearing the face on the inside of my wrist to protect it. Not sure how comfortable that would be though.
