taking the family there this summer and excited to day drink by the pool and splash around in the waves. Also looking for suggestions for great seafood stores/restaurants since it's my wife's favorite food type.

Also what are some good activities for young kids? I saw there are a few mini golf places but at 5+8 we're not in the extreme sports adventure age yet.

And finally, is St. Simons as "loose" as Tybee? That was my first experience with georgia beaches and the open consumption of booze so long as it wasn't in glass or a keg really kicked butt. Is that allowed?

Barbara Jean's in the village is my favorite spot.

If your kids like boat rides, look into Lady Jane. It's a shrimp boat that's educational. We've done it 3 times now in the last 4 years.

Hot Dog Alley just off the village is great for dogs and burgers.

Sweet mlMama for breakfast and snag a desert for later ( the brownies are top tier)

Also, Cannons point persevere if going when they are open and like to hike/history for another activity.

Gnats landing for lunch, there's a few spots in RedFern Village to eat and shop, if that's y'all thing, it's a good way to spend half a day.

Crab trap and crab daddies are good, but be prepared to wait.

Beach Combers BBQ is the best in the island, regardless of what the magazines say, lol.

Anything in the village is good…EXCEPT Mullet Bay. New owner can’t seem to get enough help to keep kitchen running. Zuzu’s has the best burgers and sweet potato fries. Love Half Shell also.
Georgia Sea Grill is among the best. Food and service.
Southern Soul for BBQ.
Going up mid-island there’s lots more, depending on your budget..
Frederica House, Tramici, Halyard’s, Delaney’s, TaraThai…
Three years living here, haven’t had a single bad meal…Remember, there’s over 80 restaurants to choose from on this island. Just be sure your credit card limit is up to it.

Bubba Garcia’s is outstanding!!
$2 Taco Tuesdays, $8 house margaritas… what’s not to love..
Fair warning, The Brunswick location has this posted on the restroom door.
