From a technical viewpoint, the barrels have lands and grooves, but they don't impart a spin on the bullet.

So, no spin on projectiles == Not a rifle

But has lands and grooves, so it's not smoothbore == Not a shotgun

What are the ballistics and accuracy gonna look like on a 223?

Oh, yeah, and it can fire multiple projectiles from a single case.

That is the reformation that has no twist. Antithesis has a 1:7 twist barrel.

Clarification:

Of course, to a bear of very little brain like me, couldn't you call your Ruger 10/22 a "Firearm" because it can shoot ratshot, and saw that bugger down wid' a quickness?


Edit: what change do you need in the design of a gun to allow it to shoot what is, after all, a multiple-projectile sabot?

Is this literally a simple matter of making sure the lower is engraved as a "firearm"?

I think that was a smooth bore rifle right? These have rifling. They are AR15's classified as "firearms" under NFA guidelines and not considered rifles. I think the video is right, its going to change alot if they license it out to other manufacturers. Make it to where there are so many of these "firearms" out there that they can't continue to ignore how stupid SBR laws are in court.

Well I didn't have time to watch the video yet. But when I saw the thread and comments I immediately remembered the Reformation from several years ago. It's okay I guess but not anything I would want.
