I picked up a Sig a few months ago and noticed it didn’t have a firing pin plunger and plunger spring. I’ve watch videos where some 1911 has them and some didn’t. Can anyone help on why that is? I haven’t fired it yet so I don’t know how it functions. Maybe a Sig C3 owner could show me theirs? I am missing 45 and 46 in the picture below.

Firing pin plunger and plunger spring are for a Series 80-type 1911. Your SIG’s firing pin system is a Series 70-type and doesn’t use those extra parts. Enjoy!
What i found is that the previous owner replaced the plunger with a single piece spacer. I guess it’s for less moving parts. There’s a hole where the plunger used to go.
