Thank you! I finally found something on the internet about your comment. Sweet!Firing pin plunger and plunger spring are for a Series 80-type 1911. Your SIG’s firing pin system is a Series 70-type and doesn’t use those extra parts. Enjoy!
What i found is that the previous owner replaced the plunger with a single piece spacer. I guess it’s for less moving parts. There’s a hole where the plunger used to go.Firing pin plunger and plunger spring are for a Series 80-type 1911. Your SIG’s firing pin system is a Series 70-type and doesn’t use those extra parts. Replacing the Series 80 (taking out 3 or 4 parts) with Series 70 (adding a spacer) changed my trigger pull from about 7 pounds down to 4.5 pounds. I have done that with several 1911s.
The trigger is super smooth and light!Replacing the Series 80 (taking out 3 or 4 parts) with Series 70 (adding a spacer) changed my trigger pull from about 7 pounds down to 4.5 pounds. I have done that with several 1911s.
