There is one thing that keeps giving me a reason to doubt the safety thing.

But I am a smoke=fire somewhere guy.

Has anyone in a truly controlled setting been able to reproduce this issue repeatedly?

No, unlike the drop-safe issue which was easily reproducible once it was found, this problem is a very rare occurrence.

I flew Army Helicopters and Fixed wing for 10 years. I never had a crash or witnessed on in real time, so Army aircraft never crash.
