Old and beat up, kinda like me. But definitely a testament to the longevity of a Sig's service.

Before the wall came down and still eats anything I put in its magazine.

I need to get some pics up but so busy... I have two of the W. German triple serial stamped steel slide P226, 1989 non mud rails. One came in the yellow box with the original factory firing target and has a beautiful unmolested patina, the other is a CPO red box that has a refinished slide and modern grips. Yuck.

Interesting, I appreciate your feedback on this. I've been wanting to do a SBR 9mm or .45 for some time but I just can't decide which route to go. I do not want an AR version. I've been looking at a MKE variant from Zenith or Atlantic Firearms, a Sig MPX, or and EVO Scorpion. The MKE seems like a solid gun.

Agreed, I have a M4 platform AR15 and a AR15 Pistol in 5.56 already so for a 9mm shorty the mpx was my choice, the more I shoot and own it the more I like it cause it's just different and cool. Was speaking with someone else that has one and they said the more they shoot it the better and smoother it runs and that there is break in time with it.

I looked at the Evo Scorpion, all plastic just wasn't for me. I think out the the available options in 9mm carbine the MPX is probably at the top I guess.
