I have a question. With my 243. I was dead on at 25 yards and not even on paper 12x12 inches, at 100 yards is this normal? I was shooting off a rest so shouldn’t be that I’m pulling THAT much.

Further more I did finally back out and get a zero at 100yards. What will that do to me at 25 yards?
1.5 inches high at 100yds with a .243 will allow you to hold center mass to farther than you will shoot in Georgia.
Not enough difference to worry about.
What Edog said, though I like to confirm zero by shooting at 200 yards. If you are dead on at 200, you can hold center of target from point blank to about 230 yards.
Something else had to be going on. No way could you be zeroed at 25 and not even on 12" paper at 100 with a .243. Just not possible.
if 20moa base...and a long barrel, he could have been crossed up enough at 25 yards to move him more than a foot high at 100 yards. I bet you are 1.5-2" low at 25yards with a 100yard zero. pretty much height over bore is gonna be the diff.
I wonder how high his scope is above the barrel?
I had a dude at the gun club zeroing a m1a...he was 15in low at 50yards...told him to come up 30moa and he laughed at me...he was still there when i left.
