Army accepts first batch of new rifles/ lmgs

I have read conflicting stories on whether the 31 other NATO nations will slowly change over or not. One article said it might be 10 years before some changed.

Probably all of them see the benefits of 6.8, but changing over is a big and expensive project. No doubt some members will prefer to keep 556 for many more years and only switch once their current rifles need replacement.
 
Agreed, it has always been a lengthy process to change for one to another. Even at worst, the 223 will be around a long time to come.
I do agree they need a stronger battle round. But then you have other things to deal with. Certainly a give and take not to be taken lightly
