I'm probably gonna get some static from some on here from this, but I've never had good success with the Ford, Chevy dealers. (wait. Minus Maxie Price Chevy - bought a brand new Corvette in 2007 ---- Price was the price. No nonsense). Hendrick, blah, another dealer in Sandy Springs....idiots.
For years and years, I bought brand spanking new Infiniti vehicles from Infiniti of Gwinnett. Heck, even purchased a slightly used Suburban from them. I kept going back and back. Why? Because they were ZERO pressure and ZERO BS. Many times I would be handed the keys to a vehicle and said give it a test drive, let me know what you think and if you have questions when you get back. No pressure means, I feel better and i'm likely to buy it. The price would ALWAYS be exactly what we agreed on. Never any bait and switch or let me ask BS.
Also bought a slightly used Escalade from BMW dealer in Alpharetta. It was the owners vehicle and they sold it at the used car part of bmw. Zero stress, zero BS. Price we agreed on was the price I paid. Finally, I bought a slightly used Mercedes from the Acura dealer in Duluth. Again, zero stress, zero BS.
Move to Ford. Well, Mall of GA Ford when the new Mustang GT (2011) came out. Had to have one! The price went back and forth crap. Hated it. Was close on price, said ok let's do it, but first value my trade in. This was a 2009 Infiniti G37 with 21,000 miles. PERFECT CAR. They lowballed me beyond belief (as in 5000 less than carmax just did) so I told the salesman no. He kept trying to stop me from leaving. I told him to tell his "sales manager" to BLANK BLANK BLANK BLANK AND DIE. He was a crook and there was NO WAY I would do business with him. I walked.
Following year, like an idiot, I went back to Mall of GA Ford. Different manager, same BS.
Yes I'm a moron, for 2013, i'm back again. Different Manager, same BS.
----Yes, I should have gone elsewhere, but I was so ticked off I didn't want to deal with Ford anymore.
Fast forward to end of 2018 (after renting an F150 for a few days out of town, I'm impressed). Hesitant to go look, but may give Akins a shot.
Don't "need" a new truck, but they sure are nice................
