Sleep Apnea

Auto pap I guess 🤷🏻. I dunno. Resmed or Resned or something like that.

Im going to start taking B1 vitamin and continue researching. Cpap is not the answer. Seems like a bandaid to me. It keeps people alive but doesnt correct the problem.
No correction I know of. My Father in Law lost weight and supposedly cured. I've seen people do sinus surgery. It works for a minute. But like fighting genetics, it goes right back to what you had before

I don't think anyone has gone to a sleep study and not been prescribed a cpap. I got retested because CPAP did nothing for me but i could handle it all night after like a year. I showed the second Dr my first sleep study and he was like yeah they really had to stretch to give you a cpap. To make sure I passed the second test I got in really good shape and that worked but at 165 that probably isn't your deal. I'm off the CPAP now and feel fine.

My brother in law is like 6'5" and a string bean but he can't function without his. The mask makes a huge difference and I would have to tell myself before falling asleep to not rip it off in the middle of the night. It was a mental battle at first to keep that thing on.

That inspire thing looks promising, I know someone that got the jaw surgery but it was painful and not super effective. I tried the mouth thing and you have to wear a mouth piece in the morning to push your jaw back. That's annoying.

Probably too much money in selling CPAP **** to find a cure

I could not do the CPAP. I use the oral appliance and it does well for me. Eventually your jaw will adjust and it shouldn't be an issue.

Did you do a home study or did you go to a sleep clinic?

It is a racket. I told my dad before he was tested that he was going to get put on one. Sure nuff…

Clinic study in 2016. Home test last month.

I have tmj from a botched wisdom teeth extraction. I wouldnt mind trying out a demo just to see but I doubt my jaws are going to tolerate something like that.

Had mine 2 weeks . I quit wrestling with it a few nights ago . I’m taking it back next week to get into the 30 days trial period. If you are Medicare eligible and also have a supplement; in my opinion- Automatically Diagnosed. Can’t get to sleep until the mask comes off. Racket. I sleep better without it. The old Kenny Rogers hit “ The Gambler “ describes it best. The best thing you can hope for is to die in your sleep.😂

My Father in Law had trouble with em. My Dad has trouble with it. But he still likes his. The night I had the home test I slept @ 15 min. They said OH YEA, you have it!! I know I have it, but that was a hoax. So no, I haven't gone further with it

Love mine. Not even a nap without it. Tried the nasal mask but I just use the full face because leaks less. I was having 53 apneas an hr and not over 4 since I started it in 2023. I can definitely tell the difference.
I am in the same boat they stopped my sleep study and fitted me with a cpap I had 55 events in the first 30 minutes. Life changing for me.
