Slide lock - why do you care?

This was assuming you where by yourself......

For example, you shoot bad guy... bad guy (hopefully) goes down..., local L.E. comes up on your periphery, sees you with your gun drawn pointing at bad guy... your survival might depend on your ability to communicate.
Specifically to follow the officers commands & communicate that you are complying & not a threat.
 
I call it the "opps lever"... means I ran it dry.

if you didn't run it dry you were on the range not a hell of a lot of adrenaline to make you single focused,very few have trained themselves away from this.. situation may dictate all your rounds.. speed reloading and getting off the X is important as is situational awareness..looking 360
