Snake Gun... Judge or 357?

I own a judge but it isn't polymer, has some weight but shoots 45LC pretty accurate for the short barrel and how much of a marksman do you have to be with a .410 shell

But, I think I would go with the judge or governor. I used to think my ruger lcr was a great snake gun until I was in the situation.

I am debating between a Judge and a 357/38 revolver with rat shot for snakes...

Judge: polymer shooting 410

357/38: likely Taurus for the price with rat shot

Any suggestions or knowledge between preferences would be greatly appreciated.

I've tested short-barreled .410 pistols before, and .44, .38, and 9 mm handguns loaded with CCI rat shot or snake shot loads .

The 410 will tear up the target a lot more thoroughly, and at a slightly longer distance, but a centerfire handgun of the 9 mm or 38 variety should work just fine out to about 12 feet.

If you can limit your snake killing to about 3 or 4 yards, I would go with an ordinary 38 special revolver with a 2 inch to 4 inch barrel. Load the first two cylinders with CCI's blue-capsule shotshells.
