Be careful going out in the woods to work on your stands (or into the yard in my case). Killed a 56" long canebrake rattler at the bottom of the stairs coming off my porch this afternoon.

Lord have mercy....look at the head on that monster....how many rattles it have?
I walked out into our garage under the house and was surprised by a 2.5 foot copper head, he made a strike at me! We got him out of the garage and cornered under a tire, he was dispatched with a Sig Mosquito with rat/snake shot. Glad I had the lights on, in the middle of the night getting a bottle of water out of the downstairs fridge would not have gone so well. I have never seen one so aggressive.
