So, how'd the storm go for you?

I dont get it. Everyone knows this happens everytime we get snow and yet thousands still go to work and wait until Its to late to leave and make it back home then want to blame someone for it other than themselves. I stayed in my nice warm house all day with the family. Played in the snow and laughed at a few cold neighbors as they passed by walking home late this afternoon after they abandoned there cars somewhere a cold hike back up the road.

Government/Public Safety says you go to work, you go to work, unless you call in sick(on a snow day)..lol

yeah took me like 3 hours to get home. finally had to park the truck 2 miles from the house and walk the rest of the way. right as i started questioning my self for not trying to make it further i came over the hill to see like 20 cars that if not already in the converts on the side of the road were sliding that way and would be there soon. just thinking God for the common sense he gave me and for keeping me safe. man its nasty out there!

My day was awful.....I work from home, I ended up waking up at 10:00am made it to Georgia Gun Store and back by lunch.....been sitting by the fireplace ever since. :thumb:

Seriously though, to all that had to be out in the mess, I hope y'all made it home safe and sound.

Got home from work around 3pm, had to come back in at 7pm, sitting here waiting to get an aircraft de-iced then can go home....

Might have to be back at 5AM :(

I took the dog for a walk around 10pm and wound up rescuing a half dozen people by 1am. Every time I piled someone into the truck, dumped them at the Holiday Inn, and headed home, I ran across another stranded, stuck, or spun out. The hard part was getting their cars off the street. 1/4 to 1/2 inch of ice on all the roads. 285 is PACKED with tractor trailers. People are abandoning their cars and walking out in dress suits and flats. It's pitiful. I'll leave the porch light on, but I'm done driving.

My normal 20-30 minute drive home from work took three hours. I did some doughnuts in the road and had to restart a few times, but I finally made it.

no problems left work 5pm went 4 miles took my time, other than some dumbass pizza delivery driver in a small honda kept up my bumper.
i could only see the sign on top of the roof of his car.
the extended trailer hitch is going back in today.

realize it's all in the perspective... having grown up in the Dakotas, learned to drive in South Dakota, what storm?

It wasn't the weather that got me, it was the drivers. Oh well, only took an hour to find a way home this time.
