So, how'd the storm go for you?

I left Atlanta at 12:45 yesterday headed for Newton County via I-20. Made a stop at Ingle's for some extra food (plenty of bread and milk still there). Made it home by 14:20. Been keeping track of the CF on tv. Plan to do a pistol deal in Monroe in a few if the roads are clear. Glad I have 4x4.

No problems here.

Took me 9 hours to travel 15 miles. My wife was stuck at work with the AWD X3 and being that she is 8.5 months pregnant I wasn't going to leave her there. I made it to within 5 miles of her work, which is only around 6.5 miles from the house, but got stuck. Some VERY nice people helped get me over one small hill then offered me some hot chocolate and coffee. Had to ditch the car, which is a manual trans RWD BMW 540i with 2 month old summer tires on it, in a school parking lot and hump the 1.5 ish miles home. Then I had my neighbor drive me to her work using some very hilly but deserted roads, well except for the 15 or so cars we saw piled on top of each other at the bottom of the hills. I left the house at 11:15 that morning and finally made it to her at 9:30. Once I got to her and the X3 we made it home in ten minutes without slipping one bit. Thank God I made it through all that traffic with my car and myself in one piece. The X3 proved it's value 10000 times over last night!

I work 3 miles from home, I left work at 12:30 yesterday, it took me 2 1/2 hours to go 1 1/2 miles. Parked my truck in a school parking lot and walked home. The line of cars I was walking by never moved the whole time I was walking.

My boss wouldn't let us out till 4:00pm,then right off the bat got into an accident and still didn't get home till 11:30 PM. Thank God the other guy is O.K. I'm O.K. and there are a lot of really good people out there helping others.

I left work at 1:30pm in Gainesville. It took me 1hour to drive 50 miles. I've been warm and cozy ever since. Except when I went out to shovel snow off the walk. My work said everyone is to report Wednesday morning at normal time. Notice, I said I've been worm and cozy ever since.

Got out this morning at 6:30 to head to work streets covered in ice and snow, kept the truck in 2wd all the way up and down hills no problem, get to work, step down out of my truck and immediately bust my a** in the parking lot  I didn't give a shyt, got up and went on in to work

Took me 2 1/2 hours to go the 23 miles from my office off camp creek to the south side of Douglasville. Would have been quicker had it not been for the people that wanted to stop and stare at the icy road rather than just drive! My wife on the other hand left Windy Hill area yesterday at 4:00 PM and is still stuck on I-20 this morning. Right around Six Flags Drive right now.
