So I've put 1900 miles on my truck since I got it a year and a half ago.

At this rate it'll be going on 4 years before I reach 5k for the first oil change. Should oil be changed whether it needs it or not at certain intervals?

I will be keeping this one probably be the last truck I ever buy. There's no annoying engine stop/start at redlights or any other kind of green environmental BS on the truck except for the Turbo charged ecoboost engine which is surprisingly quick (My father says I drive like an old man though) LOL. BUT If I do decide to sell I'll let you know.

If you drive less than 10-15 miles each time, I’d say change it once a year. If it just sits, I’d let it go a bit longer

I go for short drives at least once a week to keep oil on the seals and stuff. Just sitting can be worse I hear than some other forms of neglect for a vehicle.

The '21 F150 I bought 27 months ago has 8600 miles on it. Non turbo V6
It's had two oil changes...about a year apart....both triggered by the vehicle's oil life system indicator

Ah I forgot about the indicator. I know mine ain't on yet but I will get the oil changed anyways. Probably at least once a year as suggested.
