So what happened to Flight 370

There are a lot of parts in an airplane that will float. Life jackets, luggage, seat cushions, clothing etc.… There should be a debris field if it exploded over water.

There's tons of items on board a passenger jet liner that float and will float until washed ashore. A freighter would have much less items to float (no seats, a lot less plastic, no overhead compartments, etc) but even then, you're still going to have cardboard, packing, and other shipping materials strewn to and fro. Just remember, while its a big o'll bird, the ocean is much much bigger. Especially if dispersion began at over 6 miles high.

If it blew at 30,000 ft couldnt the lighter ,floatable material be blown by upper winds 100's of miles in either direction, making them just individual ocean trash and impossible to recognize?
