So, whats your job?????

I am a former banker with a couple of different banks in the Atlanta market. Wanted a change and went into the retail boating business as a General Manager. Loved it. I was able to drive everything from a 17 ft to a 55 ft boat. I have been boating up and down the Tennessee River and took a group to the Bahamas. Boat business went to heck, did not want to move to Florida, so I am retired. Now, I help run a kids basketball program at our church. No pay, just having fun working with kids.

paralegal... pay sucks... benefits are great. 40 hr week is more like 30 actually there... and about 10 of actual work. Full bar and drinks pour daily at 3:00 p.m. so long as no NEW client are coming in.

cant complaint too much... I have a rock solid job for this economy that I can depend on to be here for me so long as my boss stays alive. Money goes down... divorce and crime go up! sometimes at the same time! lol

I am currently Employed by valdosta State University as a graduate assistant during my masters degree tenure. Besides that general laborer. I always figured i need to work some crap jobs to better appreciated the folks who do them when I am college Prof making half of what they make.

i'm a house-dad (by choice) and enjoying it... those house-moms that complain how hard it is to take care of the kids and household duties are just not competent. previously, i was a network admin at Disneyworld with awesome perks. but the school system was pretty crappy in FL and one of my sons has ADHD with aspergers (2 sons and 2 daughters). we moved to GA (4 years ago) for a private school that specialized in my son's condition. it worked out well. he's now integrated into public school.

when we had a double income family, i noticed that the kid's academics were dropping and the family bond seemed to start drifting away. i made the choice to leave an awesome job in an awesome location for the sake of my family with no regrets. obviously, our income has been reduced but we are much more happier.

the hardest part of being a house-dad is planning dinners because everyone has a different taste. i also find myself doing shopping according to what is on sale (buy one get one free deals at the grocery). now that one of my kids is soon to enter college, i'm doing some research on small business ventures (something my son can take over when he gets older, he's not college material).
