So who all rides motorcycles?????

Another Triumph fan here. My first ride on a motorcycle was on a Triumph when I was still in my mom's stomach.

Here's my current ride.

Oh the irony. A Harley rider calling another bike crap.

Not all harleys are crap. Im a die hard jap bike rider, but the Electroglides are nice.. Albeit under powered for what they are. Harleys in general though are fine as long as you stay away from any of the AMF bikes or Sportsters. Every manufacture has had their fair share of garbage they have produced over the years

Oh I'm not bagging on them, I was just pointing out the typical brand bashing coming from an HD rider. Although I want to be entombed in a Triumph Gas Tank, I'm not brand specific. I always find it funny that it's pretty much always the HD guys bagging on other brands. Like you, I like some of the HD offerings. I think the Street Glide is one of the nicer looking cruisers out there, and the Ultra Classic would be a nice interstate bike. My father in laws Fat Boy is a nice comfortable ride, as well as my sister in laws Switchback that I got a chance to ride on the PCH. The Sportsters are actually the best performance bikes that HD produces, and not "women" bikes like they've become to be known as in the recent years. The only thing that HD does better than any other brand out there is sell a lifestyle. They have convinced a whole lot of people that it's HD or Die. They are slower, underpowered, overweight, under sprung, and overpriced when compared to other brands, but they get people on two wheels. The more bikes that are out there, the less cages we have to worry about. I've had 40 bikes or so, and came close to buying a Street Glide but my head starts hurting every time I walk in and hear the pirates talking about the "lifestyle" and the loop that they done to the next county.

If loud pipes save lives, imagine what learning to ride that thing will do for you.

Ps. I love the SV. I've had a couple SV1000's and a SV650S that I took a two week trip out west on. I absolutely loved that bike. Here's a few pics from that trips.

Got an '08 Road Glide (Rude Olf The Red Nosed Bagger)... and a '73 Sportster. Ridden in all lower 48 states, Mexico (entire length of Baja), 4 Canadian provinces; and planning a trip this June/July to Alaska. Let me know when anyone's out and about... I'm usually ready to go.

I really like that Road Glide. I'd say it is more stable at speed than the Street Glide and what not since the fairing doesn't move with the bars. It'd be a serious contender if my wife rode with me, but she doesn't care for bikes. It's awesome to see someone taking a street bike (big one at that), down a dirt road.
