I gave up after 18 hours on the road
and only 630 miles covered (I had 3 long stops where I had sit down meals and visited w/ friends at their homes.
The awful traffic jams around & inside New Orleans was a factor, too.)

Day 2 was 500 miles,
and Day 3 was 400 miles.
and Day 3 was 400 miles.
That’s a strong day of riding..no shame in those kind of days considering traffic and such.

Rode my 1996 Honda Shadow 50 miles today at sunset. Came home in the dark, but it was OK.

Dang, I just found this thread after all the years here. I've got a few bikes: BMW K1300s and R1200RT, Suzuki C90, and an Electra Glide Ultra Classic I picked up here about a year ago. I ride something just about everyday that its not raining.
