I carry my snubs because for me there is no better pocket option than a j frame. I shoot them well and they are handy to have when you need one.

I found last night that a 642 with wadcutters is not the best way to finish a hog. There was a hog in some brush and it was pointed the opposite way than I thought. I shot it in the hind end.

Where do you find stag grips?

Good quality Sambars are getting rare and expensive, especially for Smiths. Red stag or elk not so much, but to me they just don’t have that nice ivory base color.
Just got to cruise the net, they pop up occasionally.
I paid $35 for this pair 40 years ago…
