SPEAKING of Batteries. How much did you spend on your 12 or 6 volt batteries for your home/cabin system? Some of those are REALLLLLY expensive. Almost cost prohibitive.

Nothing huge you say... that COFFEE POT is one of the largest resistive loads you can add, outside of an oven/strip heater, etc. The power requirements for it, much like a hair dryer, can run from 750 to 1500 watts, well more than the power requirements combined of the others you listed.

Yup. I also learned to just heat up water and run it through the coffee maker real slow manually. Presto coffee. Lol

I am still on the fence about buying another solar generator or getting/building a solar panel set up with battery bank. It would be cool to power my garage/workshop with solar. Even though I don't need to.

My Brother just bought one of those Duracell 660 Solar generators. Man that is a beast. Very nice. I charged it up and checked it out. Very Functional.

It looks like Toyota has made great progress with a "Solid State" battery. Basically replacing the liquid/gel electrolyte with a solid membrane.
