Speed traps, lets get a list going.......

or some PDs could not use their officers exclusively for ticketing
Most of those guys are using newer equipment that reads license plates, and are writing tickets for expired plates. That is why they are there during the rush hour traffic. They will also get people for crossing the gore to cut into traffic early.
A speed trap is kinda like video surveillance camera set up to catch people stealing.
I guess if you think it's ok to break the law by speeding, then other folks think its ok to drive off with gas or shoplift.
The thieves should protest and get off on grounds of entrapment.

a speed trap is where the posted speed limit changes and at that change police will wait and tag folks entering it
pretty different than just going after speeders

try going the speed limit on 75/85 and watch what happens
the obvious answer to eliminate speed traps would be to increase the speed limit and/or not allow for speed limit variances to exceed 5 MPH at a time. that way only speeders going 80+ are going to get tagged and then there is no arguing that
Anyone ever go through Whitesburg? Its been a few years since I've been that way but it used to be a horrible speed trap.
Boy did I find a Speed Trap... I am heading North on Hwy 411/76 going into Chatsworth. The speed limit goes from 55 to 45 to 35 to 25 in about half a mile... And of course there is a Chatsworth Police officer sitting at the bottom of a hill in the 45 zone and he says I was going 62 in a 45. He gave me a break and wrote up 59 in a 45.
