Speer SPBT anyone?

I was looking for some SP bullets at Bass Pro the other day for my 308, really wanted Hornady SST or Sierra Game King but they were all out of them. They had Speer SPBT 165gr at a descent price ($29 for a box of 100) so I bought 2 boxes but I have never used them and I am looking for some feedback. Any info, good or bad is appreciated!

Speer makes a good bullet. I have some loads for my Saiga 308 Winchester with those very same bullets. They seem to hold weight well and mushroom well. Any good SP will do the trick on game.

Have never been disappointed with Speer bullets. I use the 70GR SP in my 5.56 for white tail.

Anybody has a good load for the 165gr .308 bullet? I am currently using 42.5gr of IMR4046 and it's pretty accurate using the Sierra Gameking projectile.

I have been lucky with Speer to Sierra, get the distance correct, if the powder charges are in the same range, load and shoot. Always been good for me. Perhaps Sierra to Speer will be kind to you Sir.
