Are you going to keep it forever? If not then I'd go with something that has more name recognition/ resale value. In 15 years will anyone know who Spikes Tactical was? Do people who dont follow black rifles know who Spikes is today? Now ask the same questions about Bushmaster,Armalite, Smith & Wesson, etc. Sometimes a name IS worth the extra $50.
Just my opinion though.

This same argument could be applied to say BCM (bravocompanyusa) or Daniel Defense or LMT or Noveske - outside of the AR world who knows about them? The good part is if you are re-selling an AR most of your buyers will definitely know these names (also Spikes which by the way is a great name and well known for quality products) and you will be in great shape because all listed names are well known quality names. You are buying an AR, you are in the "AR world".

Also spike's has now been in business for 10 years so they're not such a noob in the AR market anymore. I have several AR's and 3 spike's to be exact and they are all flawless in function. I bought a complete upper off AIM before and the previous poster was correct, if you see something on there that you like and it's in stock you better get it. AIM stuff sells out fairly quickly.

I waited 8 months to receive my complete spikes upper and it was frustrating waiting, because they would tell me one more week, one more, than finally it showed up. Its worth it, this was my first AR, and I still love it. I have built 2 AR's using spikes parts. The choice is ultimately up to you.
