I prefer the grip angle of the Glock. I can maintain a higher grip while shooting over the XD.

Some people also don't like the lack of an external safety on the Glock, but I find this to be a plus. I don't want to fiddle with levers or buttons when fractions of a second could matter. With excellent trigger discipline the safety issue should be a non issue.

Bottom line. Shoot and handle both, buy and use what works best for you.

I've seen this video before, but only up to the point where he shot himself. I've never seen it after that. I didn't know he kept on with the lecture for another couple of minutes. You have to be careful when handling firearms.

XD for ME. The Glock grip angle doesn't feel well to me, and I just don't like having just a trigger safety. I prefer my XD .45.

I just got a Glock 19 and had a HARD TIME choosing between the two.
My brother has a XD9 and my friend has a Glock 17

I shot both guns and loved the XD9 more than the 17.

Ater talking to multiple people and looking at reliability I went with Glock but chose the smaller 19 model

I made my decision after seeing this video and a little research on accidental firings of semi-automatic pistols among 'so called professionals'........."I'm the only one qualified...............
