I've considered a car safe but am trying to justify it.

Does it bolt down? would it mount under a seat easily? why keep my gun in the trunk?
I'd like to leave a truck gun in the truck or car protected .

I got one for the house, I plan on trying to figure out a way to put it in the cab of my truck. If I cant its still worth the $50 to have a gun secured somewhere other than my main safe. The safe may fit in the truck but its not really meant to be vertical, (behind console) and you need to have room to put in the code. I figure the only good place in the truck will be under the back seats. I may buy another one and see if I can remote wire the code panel so I wont need to lift the seats up. Either way it will be good enough for when I go somewhere I can't take my gun, which is unfortunately very common in my daily routine. This is a nice sturdy safe, not those cheap cable mounted ones you see advertised for the car.
