Daughter wants to RV this coming weekend at Stone Mountain and do some fishing. I've never been there. Anybody ever fish it, especially in cold weather?

Good fishing. I use to fish it a good bit, mostly in spring. I know guys like to jig deep structure out there in cold weather. There is a road bed you might be able to see on a map.

Article is from 2006 but the roadbed and the damn are still in the same place.

I would Kayak fish it on a weekday. I would imagine it gets real busy on the weekends.

Back years ago, went there and fished at night, only problem was copper heads. Now it's a shame that the other type of snakes have taken over, against the law to shoot them.
