Several times in this thread....

According to Fox News today, former Rep. Doug Collins of Georgia is now mulling a Republican challenge in 2022 against newly elected Democratic Sen. Raphael Warnock in what could be one of the most high-profile Senate races in next year's midterm elections. A Republican source close to Collins' orbit tells Fox News that the former congressman "is giving serious consideration to running for Senate in 2022 against Raphael Warnock." A separate source with knowledge of Collins' plans says, "I think that's where his head is right now." Both sources say that any announcement from Collins on a Senate run would likely have to come by early April "at the latest." He may not want to try to primary Kemp.

Who’s out there that can win against Big Stacy? I hear a lot of critics, but no suggestions... there’s gotta be someone that knock Kemp off and beat her. Because no way Kemp is winning another term. I don’t see it.

I’m afraid we’re running into the perfect storm... like Obama in 08.

Yo, rutman!
Possibly David Clark. He's the most notable rebel in the GA state house. Speaker Ralston threw him out of a Georgia House of Representatives active session last year for refusing to take a Covid test. He also doesn't like wearing a face mask. There are NOT a lot of possibilities out there to successfully primary Brian Kemp next year. I don't know if Clark would be up to it or if he could win even if he was willing to try. But he does seem to be cut from a different bolt of cloth than the rest of them. Here's some basic information and a portion of his biography from his 2020 campaign web page.

David Clark (Republican Party) is a member of the Georgia House of Representatives, representing District 98. He assumed office on January 12, 2015. His current term ends on January 8, 2023.

"State Representative, David Clark, a conservative Republican, represents District 98 which includes portions of Sugar Hill, Suwanee & Buford in Gwinnett county.

Representative Clark brings a common sense, solutions- oriented approach to the legislature. During his tenure, he has chaired the Welfare Fraud study committee. He also was Chairman of the Interstate Cooperation Committee.

Closer to home, Representative Clark is a small business owner and combat Veteran. Representative Clark was born one of ten children, growing up on a small farm in Suwanee, Georgia. As a teenager, his family relocated to Lake Lanier, where he spent the majority of his time outdoors.

He developed a love of history at a young age, which eventually led him to joining the military upon graduating high school. He successfully completed Ranger School and as a member of the infantry, deployed to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.

Upon his return, he attended Georgia Gwinnett College and currently is a small business owner.

He understands that more Government is not the answer for our state. He stands for less Government, lower taxes, is a staunch pro-life advocate, and a supporter of the Second Amendment. While he has fought on the front lines in the battlefield, he is now fighting under the gold dome (in Atlanta, GA). He is committed to ensuring that the next generation continues to have the freedom and opportunities that so many of us have been afforded."

David Clark for Governor of Georgia 2022? Sound off if you've got an opinion about it.

Whoever it is (or could be) better be good at appealing to conservatives that are more moderate and non-trumpers while still sticking to conservative values. I think the left is still battling for Georgia. If she runs, she will get national lib support all over again. If someone beats out Kemp while touting Trump slogans and affiliations, the fat lady will be singing in the governor’s mansion.

What is sad is that she is behind all the frauds that happened in Georgia last November & January 5th, and that are still being investigated and more crap is coming to the the surface. They got away scot-free fraudulently winning Presidential election and senator’s election. Sure they have the magical Dominion machines already set up for the win!
