Stop leaving guns in your cars..

And you’re point is????
Well I reckoned nobody was gonna use a subwoofer to beat someone to death with.
if someone is planning on murdering someone they’ll find a way with or without you firearm, so except for feeling better that it wasn’t your gun that did it, what did it accomplish?

Someday, when none of us can affotd vehicles anymore, this will not be an issue ....

I know I’m probably preaching to the choir here but we had this situation yesterday.

As I come on in the morning we get a BOLO for a stolen car and inside the car was a pistol, so now criminals are armed. Later in the day we get a call about a man shot, it wasn’t my call so I don’t know many details but sounded as if it was an armed robbery gone sideways. A little later we get the same BOLO for the stolen car, but now details are added that it’s occupied by murder suspects from the earlier shooting.

Stop arming criminals, don’t leave unsecured weapons in your cars. That is all
Sure, it's obvious that if a criminal that wants to kill someone can't steal a weapon from a car that they can't arm themselves, thus they won't commit the killing.

Isn't that how gun control in general is supposed to work?

So if someone takes a hammer or a crowbar out of the back of my truck bed, and commits a crime with it...I'm contributing to a crime? If someone takes my shovel, dig a hole, and puts a body in it, I'm also helping them hide a body? I got it... cool. I guess if they stole my truck, got a speeding ticket in it, I'm also responsible for the speeding ticket?
That speed camera says you are...LOL

This. Buncha simpletons in here. Car was unlocked, keys left inside, said murderous scumbags took the opportunity and stole it and now someone is dead. Simply locking the freaking doors and taking the keys into the house could have stopped it. Sure, criminals shouldn’t crime, but they do and this is a very well known aspect of any society. Simple measure should have been taken and gross negligence shouldn’t be overlooked.
And where in your OP did you say the car was unlocked with keys left inside? Or is anyone that can't read what you didn't type a "simpleton" in your opinion?

I stay strapped and carry a backpack with all the essentials plus a backup. Backpack goes where I go and in the house with me at night. If I know I'm going to be in a place where I can't carry, the backpack stays home for that one trip. My carry will be somewhere in the vehicle secured as much as possible for that short time. I'll take the chance of loosing it for that short time but I'm gonna have one with me.

I used to love to personalize my vehicle with decals.
You'll never see a single decal on my vehicle anymore.

In both situations you are the easiest FIRST target to any criminal with any situational awareness. And before you say "they aren't smart enough" when they make it their job to do bad things, they catch on quicker than a common law abiding citizen and guaranteed if they've done it more than once and gotten away with it they have the upper hand.

Here's a good article from TFB regarding how you present your vehicle to thieves:

Best option is always full concealment and keep your mouth shut about it unless you know beforehand you are heading into a hostile situation.
First time I've ever seen someone open carry a Wilson Combat. Idiot squared!
