Stupid popup advertisements....

I got the pop up on my laptop using safari last week twice and now on my iPad it keeps popping up after about 10 pages or so

I just got an iPad on Sunday and got two just this morning. The one posted above and another one was for heartburn.

Same, for me on my galaxy s3. Happens every time I use my phone.

Getting more frequent and more annoying. Maybe remove the footer ads. I doubt anyone looks at them anyways. I didn't even know they were on the site until you mentioned them OS.

You know sites run on advertisements, right? They make almost all your favorite sites possible, I can't just turn them off, they pay for most of our hosting. Plus I have no idea if that is where they are even coming from.

I uninstalled Google+ and have had ZERO pop-ups since. About 3-4 days and not one. I never used the app, dont even know what its for or how it got installed.

I get them all the time in IE. Next to the little "X" there is a place to click that says Ad Choices, takes you here: http://www.google.com/settings/ads/plugin/?hl=en from here you can download the opt out service, it also has a link on the page to get to another opt out service. These are all interest based services, this will allow you to purge and block over 100 interest based ad services http://www.aboutads.info/choices
So far I have blocked 117 services. I Just did this today and yesterday so I can't tell you hoiw well it works yet.

You are getting pop-ups in IE? There should be no pop ups at all on a laptop or desktop, all the stuff in this thread is referring to mobile platforms.
